Biography
BRNS (pronounce "Brains" reference to the cult phrases of zombies of horror films) is formed around the nucleus of Tim "Clijsters" Philippe (chant, drums) and Antoine Meersseman (claviers, bass) to the glimmers of January 1, 2010 in Uccle (Belgium), while they improvised some notes in Timothy's cellar. The duo is joined a few months later by guitarist Diego Leyder when they give themselves to a new jam session on the side of Anderlech, drafts of future songs will be born (Mexico, Clairvoyant, Here Dead He Lies). Very quickly spotted during their first live performance in 2011, the programmer Xavier Daive of the Atelier 210 room offers them to release a 7-inch, under Limit Records created on occasion. 300 copies are immediately sold and the path of the concerts continues (Brussels, Bruges, Antwerp, Lille, Paris) until the arrival of the fourth percussion competitor, César Laloux.
The quartet finally set, it was in 2012 that the band projected the single bewitching Mexico for the promotion of their first effort, the EP Wounded, under the label Louis Records. Their sound is authentic, on an indie rock background, tribal incantations alongside drawer melodies and inventive frenzy. In 2014 it is the maxi Void / My Head Is Into You that prepares their full-length Skate .
This first album was released in the same year and proved the talent of this young band, which was praised by the media, the press and the public at their very organic concerts. BRNS returns in 2016 with a split signed on Thoré Single Club with Ropoporose .
