Broken Bells

Broken Bells is the name of the duo formed by Brian Burton (Danger Mouse), a hip-hop producer known for working with Gnarls Barkley, Gorillaz, Beck and The Black Keys, and James Mercer, frontman of The Shins' indie rockers.
The first album, eponymous, was released in March 2010 after an intense mystery marketing campaign. Originally considered a side-project, Broken Bells ended up shooting on a large scale in the United States and already evoked the possibility of releasing a new record.
