Brujeria
Biography
Brujeria (which means witchcraft in Spanish) is a group of Metal Extreme which according to legend finds its source in 1989 in Mexico. Many speculations and fantasies feed the legend about the formation at the beginning since the members are engulfed and present themselves at the base as terrorists, at best revolutionaries ready to take up arms. All this is quickly denied, it simply turns out that Brujeria is a kind of collective, since apart from the singer, Juan Brujo, present on all the recordings, an incalculable number of musicians will succeed each other on the various achievements, some of them even being very well known. Brujeria's musical style will evolve over time, from Grindcore on the first album, Matando Güeros (1993), to a Metal plus Death Thrash on the other two, Raza Odiada (1995) and Brujerizmo (2000). The main topics addressed were satanism, terrorism, women and drugs. Since the band's reputation is quite important, Brujeria will perform in festivals such as Hellfest or Dour (Belgium). After a few compilations and singles and a very long silence, an album is finally announced by the end of 2015 with a signature by Nuclear Blast . Far from the potache joke, the music sent by the gaillards is ultra square. Hard to list all the musicians having gone to Brujeria since the secret is well kept, some participants to a complete album, others just as guest or live members, we can still mention with certainty: Dino Cazares ( Fear Factory), Shane Embury ( Napalm Death), Jeff Walker (Carcass), Jesse Pintato (Terrorizer , Lock Up , Napalm Death), Nicholas Barker (ex-Dimmu Borgir), Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates), Billy Gould ( Faith No More), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys ).
