Bruxisme
Biography
Bruxism welcomed four seasoned musicians, gathered in Nantes in 2009 around a common goal, to produce a heavy rock inspired by what is best done in the rock/hardcore circles of the 1990s/2000s. A maxi 4 titles, announcing the already grinning and nuanced color of their creative ambitions, was born. Grabs (guitar/song), Ronan (guitar), David (bass/chores) and Anthony (drums) engage with violence and restraint on fine and nervous compositions, equipped with a flexible groove, sometimes unpredictable. Nothing More , the first long format released in 2011, brings together these elements to offer us an intelligent power condensation on a post-hardcore basis. A calibrated, fine-tuned disc, invested in a very personal, disturbing and rather unhealthy cinematic atmosphere, where emotion is exacerbated without spreading, where madness is controlled although it is necessary to release it regularly. The extremely varied influences (Neurosis , Fugazi , Old Man Gloom , Envy , Converge , These Arms Are Snakes , etc...) do not allow a clear definition of the music released by Brussels , which will prefer to talk about "big rock". A big fucking rock that it is necessary to put on also live, as the furious stage performances of these four are worth the detour.
