Burn The Priest
Biography
Groove Metal Burn The Priest was founded in 1994 in Richmond, Virginia, by guitarists Mark Morton and Matt Conner, bassist John Campbell and drummer Chris Adler. Conner left quickly and was replaced by Abe Spear, while Morton moved away temporarily to devote himself to his studies. The line-up is complete with the arrival of singer Randall Blythe and later with the return of Adler. In 1999, after Spear's departure and his replacement by Chris' brother Willie Adler, the combo changed its name to one that would become much more known: Lamb Of God. During its brief existence, the band will still have released some demos, two splits, the Sevens And More compilation, and an eponymous album in 1999. The story of Burn The Priest was supposed to end there, but in 2018, when LoG had announced that it would be in hiatus, the band took back its original name to release Legion: XX , an album of Punk / Hardcore covers.
