Biography

Burning Heads was born in 1988. From its creation the band continues the concerts wherever it can. After the release of some EP Black & Noir (1991), Reds/Beggars (etc...) the band released its first eponymous album on Semetary in 1992 and then its second Dive (1994) directly with PIAS and with producer Jack Endino (soundmaker for Nirvana, Mudhoney ...).
Burning Heads is becoming more and more famous and concerts abroad are increasing (Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Spain). Then Fred Norguet produced Super Modern World (1996) and Burning became one of the leaders of hexagonal punk rock. The band then took the opportunity to release a CD The Weightless Hits (1997) featuring rare, B-side and unreleased titles. Be One With The Flames (1998) marks a turning point for the band as this cd is released on Epitaph. It is then the consecration for this band, the galette is promoted throughout Europe and the band will make the first part of the melodic punk rock giant of the time such as NOFX, Down By Law, NRA ... Playing with these bands will further raise their level and the band now has more to envy to these American bands. The next album will be Escape (2000) may be the most angry of the band... It is published Victory Records, which allows this cd to be broadcast in the United States, Japan, Canada. The concerts bring more and more people and the group travels more and more. In 2001 guitarist Philippe left the band and was replaced by Fonfon, a long-time friend of the band. To celebrate this the band released a new album Opposite (2001) which introduces a turn in the quartet's career; Opposite is a reggae/dub album. The reception will be mixed but it will not weaken the group. Their next CD comes back to the roots, Taranto (2003) is probably their most successful cd.
He will follow various CD splits, the first with the Vulgaires Machins (2003), the second with the electro-dub group Alif Sound System (2004) and their latest with Uncommonmenfrommars (2005). The latter will formalize the birth of their own label, Opposite Records. A fresh full length, Bad Time For Human Kind, arrives in March 2006 on the same label, just in time for the big French tour, the Incredible Rock Machine Tour: 50 dates in 50 days with the Uncommonfrommars.
Burning is not too slow to put the cover back on with a second reggae/rock album, logically titled Opposite 2, then a new punk-rock album called Spread the fire (the third BH album recorded by Pete Samprass). Closely follows a vynil split with the mythical Teens, Burning Heads took over the famous "No Way" on the album Escape , and an American tour of one month in spring 2010.
