Burning Witches

In 2015, guitarist Romana Kalkuhl (ex- Atlas&Axis) sought to form a fully female Heavy Metal band. She was soon joined by bassist Jeanine Grob, a long-time friend, and then met singer Serina Telli (ex-Surrilium) during a festival. Hearings then allow Lala Frischknecht to be recruited from the battery, and the compositional work begins. A first three-track demo is recorded, and Schmier's support as a producer allows them to make themselves known. The band increased to five members in 2016 with the arrival of Alea Wyss as second guitarist, and the first eponymous album appeared in May 2017. In early 2018, Wyss left the adventure and was replaced by Sonia Nusselder. That same year, a contract was signed with Nuclear Blast Records for the release of Hexenhammer in November. Shortly after, Burning Witches shot the first part of Grave Digger's veterans.
