David Witte - John Adubato Battery - Mike Olender Guitar - Ted Patterson Song - Nick Hale Bass - Guitar (live) from 1999 to 2001 Chris Rascio - Guitar (live) from 2001 to 2009 Burnt By The Sun was formed in 1999 in Edison, New Jersey by long-time friends, including drummer David Witte (Discordance Of Axis , ex-Human Remains ) and guitarist John Adubato, later joined by singer Mike Olender (Endeavor ), bassist Ted Patterson (who played with Witte in Human Remains ), as well as another guitarist in Nick Hale's person, ensuring the second six-cords for the concerts. The band started hostilities in 2000 with a split album with Luddite Clone, released by Ferret Music. The sequel will soon come with a first EP that will be released in 2001 at Relapse . After a change of guitarist (Chris Rascio in place of Nick Hale), the band will easily chain the concerts and festivals, which will not stop him from composing a first long format album only a year later, Soundtrack To The Personal Revolution, recorded by Matt Bayles ( Pearl Jam, Botch, Isis, etc.). Their intensive productivity will allow the Americans to release The Perfect Is The Enemy Of The Good in 2003, the band apparently having decided to lay one record per year. And as if that wasn't enough, Relapse will publish a split with the Swedish Burst at the same time. BBTS slightly calms the game afterwards by releasing a live in 2004, recorded in Philadelphia at the Relapse Contamination Festival. After a break (well deserved?), a new split with Car Bomb will be released in 2007, followed two years later by the latest album, Heart Of Darkness, still at Relapse. Burnt By The Sun, now a reference in the hardcore environment, will unfortunately stop its activities shortly after this final effort.
