Randy Larsen – bass, song Vic Szalaj – drums Bernie Romanowski – guitar Chris Fischkelta – guitar Peter Farris – song Cable was born in 1994 in Connecticut, the band was composed by Randy Larsen, Vic Szalaj, Matt Becker and Jeff Caxide. The latter, however, left very quickly to join the ranks of Isis . After some readjustment of line-up and EP the band released its first album – Variable Speed Drive – in 1996. Three years later their second effort, called Gutter Queen, was released on the famous label of Aaron Turner ( Isis ) Hydra Head. Cable then forges a solid reputation by turning with most tenors of the Noise and Postcore scenes: Neurosis, Cave In, Botch, Isis ... In the early 2000s the band entered a very productive period with no less than four discs, including one accompanied by a DVD, in the space of five years. However, the group split up in 2006. This separation will remain ephemeral, however, as Cable reformed in 2008 before returning to the studio the following year to record The Failed Convict released at The End Records.
