Cadillac Blindside
Biography
Zachary Zrust: Song/Guitare Trenton Raygor: Bass James Russel: Guitar/Chant Rebecca Hanten: Battery
Originally from Minneapolis, Cadillac Blinside formed late '97 as a quartet. After filming with Ultimate Fakebook, they decided to release their first album, Read The Book, Seen The Movie, in August 2000 on Soda Jerk Records (Laymen Terms, Crispus Attucks). The latter will also benefit from the support of Jeremy Tappero (The Stereo). Thus Cadillac Blindside draws the attention of the label Fueled By Ramen (Less Than Jake , The Hush Sound ) which will publish the EP The Allegory Of Death And Fame in May 2001. After a North American tour of about seven months, the band gave no sign of life until May 2002, when their second opus, These Liquid Lungs, appeared. Months later (July 06, '02), the combo abruptly announced the end of his career because of, among other things, a somewhat shaken (and traumatic) landing on a runway at O'Hare Airport (Chicago). Currently, Rebecca Hanten and James Russel have formed The Cardinal Sin, whose first EP, Oil And Water, has just been released at Grey Flight Records (The Honor System, Colossal). Zach Zrust, for his part, founded Fuel the Fire over a year ago with Sloan (ex- Dillinger Four).
