Biography

Caliban was born in 1997 under the name Never Again . They are quickly spotted by the Life Force Records label which signs them and allows them to release a first ep. In 1999 Caliban released his first album Small Boy And A Grey Heaven which was noticed by the critic who then compared him to a mix of Slayer, Poison The Well and Hatebreed. After a split with Heaven Shall Burn the band released Vent in 2001 and began to shoot around the world. The band then released Shadow Hearts in 2002 and continued to smear the world's theaters and festivals, and in 2004, Caliban signed Roadrunner Records to release its fourth album: The Opposite From Within. The albums followed: The Undying Darkness in 2006, The Awakening in 2007 and Say Hello To Tragedy in 2009. The band returned in 2012 with the release of its latest album, I Am Nemesis , which marks a return to a somewhat more radical style (notably by a less systematic recourse to clear singing).
