Carcariass
Biography
Carcariass is a French technical and melodic death metal band from Besançon, Franche-Comté, formed in 1991. The name of the group is a derivative of the Latin name Carcharodon carcharias which means "Great white shark". In 1996, the band released a five-title EP entitled Ancestral War, and then recorded and released its first studio album Hell on Earth, the following year. In 1998, Carcariass signed with Impacts Records and recorded his second opus, Sideral Torment . In 2002 the French passed a new course with a signature at Adipocère Records and released his most famous album: Killing Process , which is recorded at LB-LAB studios in Lille, and is produced by Stéphane Buriez ( Loudblast ). This LP will take them on a long tour and will also allow them to participate in many festivals in France but also in Western Europe with international bands such as Cradle of Filth, Nostromo, Impaled Nazarene, and Sadist. The suite will unfortunately be more complicated, despite the excellent E-Xtinction in 2009 Carcariass will be discreet. In 2012, Great Dane Records decided to remaster the band's first two albums in a digipack called Hell and Torment, including live excerpts from their 2004 tour, and three songs from their first Ancestral War demo. It will take until 2015 to see the French again on stage.
