Cardiac Arrest

Cardiac Arrest is a 1997 death metal band formed in Chicago. The band stabilized around 2001 and thus began its concerts from that date. After two fruitless years, the band split up and its two main members, Adam Scott (Guitare / Chant) and Johnny Dove (Guitare), joined the D.O.T.A.C. group. Cardiac Arrest reformed in 2004 with Ed Baugh (Battery) to release the ep Heart Stopping Death Rot the same year. Johnny Dove is only a short time in the band. Mark Raiman arrives as a bass player for the release of a second ep, Beast Among Many in 2006, but it is mainly with the arrivals of Dave Holland (Basse), Tom Knizner (Guitare - Convulsions , Severed ) and Jim Debenderfer (Battery - Funerus , Blood Of Kingu ) who will boost the band and give it its definitive style: a mix of Death Metal old school, modern technique and horror films. Morgue Mutilations , the first effort, was released in 2006 at Redrum Records, followed by Cadaverous Presence in 2008 which will make them gain power. Haven For The Insane was released in 2008 at Ibex Moon Records, followed by Vortex Of Violence in 2012 on the same label. Nick Gallichio replaced Jim behind the drums which led Cardiac Arrest to release a split with Mutant Supremacy in 2013, another with Radiation Sickness in 2015 and meanwhile, their fifth album And Death Shall Set You Free in 2014 which appeared at Razorback Recordings. The Americans are then more discreet for a few years before releasing A Parallel Dimension Of Despair in April 2018 at Memento Mori.
