Carnival In Coal
Biography
It was in 1997 in Amiens that Arno Strobl (chant) and Axel Wursthorn (instruments) founded Carnival In Coal with their first demo "Sramik" while they were musicians in House Of Wax and Extravaganza since 1989. Carnival In Coal was at first not really a very serious band, and their goal was just to try a bunch of musical experiences. Their first two albums were released in 1999 "Vivalavida" and "French Cancan", the last being an album of fairly eclectic covers since we find Genesis , Morbid Angel , Pantera or Jerry Rafferty , not to mention the cover of the disco tube "Maniac" (extract from the B.O of Flashdance ) version black symphonic. In 2004, they signed a contract with Elitist / Earache and released the album "Prestige Collection" in 2005.
