Carpathian Forest

It is a 1992 that Carpathian Forest was created in Norway around the duo Nattefrost / Nordavind, the Black Metal is then a very popular style in Scandinavian countries. Very soon the two competitors released a demo, Bloodlust and Perversion, followed almost in the footsteps by another, Journey Through the Cold Moors of Svarttjern, Carpathian Forest is then spotted by the Italian label Avantgarde Music, a deal was signed in 1993 between the two parties, it is in 1995 that the EP Through Chasm, Caves And Titan Woods will be released. The band will then take a little time to prepare its first album which will be in the bins in 1998, the famous Black Shining Leather pure product of what was then called the "True Norwegian Black Metal". Nattefrost and Nordavind are then joined by drummer Lars Nedland, Black Shining Leather is a success in the middle and propel Carpathian Forest on the front of the stage. In 2000 came Strange Old Brew , the line-up evolves since Tchort landed as second guitarist, Vrangsinn at bass and Anders Kobro passed behind the drums. In 2001 the formation emerged Morbid Fascination of Death , considered many as one of the masterpieces of the Norwegian formation , it was the last recording with Nordavind who left Carpathian Forest just after. In 2002, a compilation appeared: We're Going to Hell For This - Over a Decade of Perversions which included studio and live titles. Carpathian Forest is then a major band of the Black Metal scene and is signed by the Season of Mist label that publishes Defending the Throne of Evil, then the live We're Going to Hollywood For This before a new compilation, Skjend Hans Lik appears. In 2006 Norwegians released Fuck You All!!!! which remains their last opus to date.
