Carrion Spring

Carrion Spring formed in the fall of 2008 in Portland, between three long-time New York friends. A year later, a close friend of Pennsylvania was recruited as second guitarist. During the early days of the combo, members organize concerts at home, in Portland, with at least once a month, with groups of local and traveling musicians, specifying that all profits go directly to the groups on tour and the entrance to the concerts is open to all. The members of the group have participated and are still to some extent involved in radical activities, such as volunteering with Food Not Bombs and other local collectives (radical art collectors, anarchist bookstores, etc.). Carrion Spring is a completely DIY band, recording and producing its own music, in the same house where they organize concerts. Their debut album A Short History of Decay is released on Bear Records and Forever Escaping Boredom Records, followed by various splits and a second album in 2019, soberly titled Carrion Spring. According to the band, the only other goal that remains for Carrion Spring is to play with Megadeth one day and convert Dave Mustaine into a satanist.
