Biography

Matt Strickland (Guitare, Chant) Ben Johnson (Basse, Chant) Ryan Lewis (Battery)
The American Cease Upon The Capitol formed in February 2004 following Baldwin Mass Suicide's failure. The group is embarking on a more radical, politically and musically engaged path. Initially only composed of Ryan and Matt, Ian, a student from Korea who previously played in Unroot, completes the training. Together, they record a first demo in a hardcore screamo style that they will never cease to evolve. Ian had to return to the bercail, he was quickly replaced by Ben at the bass. The band made its hand via a pair of split albums and 7" until 2006, when their first album was released (digital version on Impure Muzik & Tears from Silence and LP version on React with Protestant). Cease Upon The Capitol played alongside bands like A Day in Black & White, Kaospilot, Van Johnson, Takaru, This Ship Will Sink, Coliseum or Asschapel.
