A native of southern California, Chain of Strength was one of those bands that marked the late 1980s and was an inspiration for many current bands, especially straight-edge ( Champion, Blue Monday, Over My Dead Body ...).
The band produced two 7-inch True Till Death and What Holds Us Apart, later reunited on The One Thing That Still Holds True, which was released at Revelation in 1995. Chain of Strength will split in 1991, with members moving to other spheres. Chris Bratton was an officer at the Inside Out of Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against The Machine) with Alex Barreto before failing at Alien Ant Farm.
