Biography

Christel Martina Sundberg aka Chisu , (pronounced Kisu) is a Finnish singer, songwriter and producer born on 3 January 1982. She evolves in an electro-pop style and sings exclusively in her native language. As she herself says, "At first there was a girl, a piano and a strong desire to create, in order to transcribe the world and life with words, melodies, harmonies and sounds. Then the girl became bigger, the wider world and more complicated life, the piano simply became insufficient to catch all the colors. So to fill this gap came computers, software, synths, samples, keyboards, percussion...". Chisu first worked in the shadow as a composer and producer for other artists mainly known in Finland but not only since the lady is credited to the album My Winter Storm by Tarja Turunen (ex Nightwish) and more precisely on the song Sing For Me for which she wrote the lyrics. His first single, Mun Koti Ei Oo Täällä , released from his first album Alkovi in 2008, is part of the Original Band of a Finnish film released in 2007, Sooloilua and received in 2009 the equivalent of the grammy awards of the song of the year in Finland. After a short tour she felt the need to quickly return to the studio in 2009 released the second album Vapaa Ja Yksin with more pop and less electronic sounds than her predecessor. Christel received, among other things, the award of producer of the year, a first for a woman in her country. The album remained in the top 30 official charts for 70 weeks. In 2011 she spent spring and summer in the studio recording her third album, Kun Valaistun, which was released in October. Note that for recording and writing his three opus, Chisu worked alone from A to Z.
