City And Colour
Biography
Behind this seemingly collective name, City and Colour actually hides the project of one man, Dallas Green, until then known as the singer (the clear voice) of the Canadian emocore combo Alexisonfire. Like a Joey Cape or Dennys Lyxzen setting up new formations to meet new aspirations ( Bad Astronaut , The Lost Patrol ), Dallas has been isolated to deliver an intimate work of exclusively acoustic melodies.
Originally, these were only personal records made during 2004 and intended for his own entourage. But quickly the songs spread on the net and the site of Alexisonfire flooded with requests from all sides. With this devalued success, Dallas Green launched himself into the self-production of a model, and with Julius Butty (the Alexisonfire Watch Out! producer) set up in a few months what will become Sometimes. The album is presented to the public in its final version in 2005 by the label Dine Alone Records. The success being at the rendezvous and the audience present at each trip, a Live was released in 2007 before the release of the second effort in 2008 via Vagrant: Bring Me Your Love .
