Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah, that's a long name that for once has no convoluted meaning, comes from New York (Brooklyn) and starts making noise (in the press at least) in 2005. Hard to find information about these 5 atypical Americans, the official biography described them as conceived in the belly of the great whale... But their music speaks for them: a mixture of enormously influential chronicles regularly talk about Talking Head, Arcade Fire, The Cure, ... We'll talk about The Unicorns because one is true, and two The Unicorns is sublime just as Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah and three the so special voice (which means some will love other ones) of these two formations look alike. In 2005 their first self-produced album was released very quickly out of stock, the band was quickly courted and thanks to Wichita Recordings (the label of Bloc Party, The Bronx, The Cribs, Saul Williams, ...) their CD was released in Europe in early 2006.
