Clipping

Based in Los Angeles clipping. Cheating sounds since 2009. First composed in duo by Jonathan Snipes and William Hutson, the project was mainly dedicated to remix, but joined a year later by MC Daveed Diggs to produce a sweet mix of rap, hip-hop and hazel, impregnated by genre or science fiction cinema. The trio released the first midcity album on his Bandcamp in 2013 and was noticed by Sub Pop who signed it without delay. CLPPNG followed in 2014, the second long that will install clipping. in the landscape, then Splendor&Misery in 2016, concept-album with dystopic and Afrofuturistic theme. Three years later Californians gave birth to a third album, There Existed an Addiction to Blood, still hosted by Sub Pop. In 2020 the trio released a two-track response to the recent police murders (Chapter 319), and mainly offers a direct follow-up to the previous long format with Visions of Bodies Being Burned, in which we find the participations of Cam&China, Michael Esposito or even Ho99o9.
