Biography

Behind Cloudkicker is Ben Sharp, an American multi-instrumentalist who has been making us live his passion since 2007. Like a Trent Reznor with Nine Inch Nails, Ben Sharp composes, produces and mixes his own creations in his own studio. A prolific artist, Cloudkicker released no less than nine albums/EP since The Discovery in 2008. Cloudkicker's music draws inspiration from many different genres. Mainly influenced by Meshuggah for syncopated rhythms, Ben Sharp is also a creator of imparable atmospheres between Post-Rock and Post-Metal. The Discovery and Beacons in 2010 were the most faithful witnesses. From 2011, Cloudkicker's sound became more pronounced, between assumed Post-Rock influences and appearances of Folk or Ambient melodies on Let Yourself Be Huge and Loop released in 2011 and on Fade in 2012. Cloudkicker reconnects with more Metal sounds in 2013 with its new album Subsume .
