Biography

Coal Chamber is a metal band that will find success in full wave Neo Metal by offering ume music darker and a more or less gothic aura. The band started in 1994 and thanks to Dino Cazares (Fear Factory ) was noticed and signed on Roadrunner Records , Led by the rocky voice of Dez Fafara, the band surrounds itself with a rather creepy visual and a devastating look. They will influence a group tripote lacking inspiration and which will find in the rocky voice and extremely heavy sounds of the group a good source of inspiration. In 2002, Rayna Foss-Rose (Basse) left the group to become a mother, she was replaced by Nadja Puelen who had already held the bass during Rayna's pregnancy. The band released in 2002 Dark Days , third and certainly the most accomplished of all their albums. This album comes out in a strange climate, between rumors of split, engulfed and beating of the band. Rumor that will confirm one year later with the split of the group (drug problem, desire for change...). Dez Fafafara will continue his career as a frontman with DevilDriver in a much more muscular vein. Miguel "Meegs" Rascon and Mikal "Mikey" Cox form We Are The Riot. In 2012, Coal Chamber reworked the time of a few concerts, before announcing a new opus that was unveiled in 2015, Rivals .
