Biography
Cobalt first appeared in 2000 under the name Grimness Enshroud when the project was still a solo adventure led by Phil McSorley (guitars/voice). Later joined by Erik Wunder (battery/voice), the now duo renamed itself Cobalt and then began its extensive exploration of Black Metal, the last stage of which was Gin, the third album released in early 2009. In 2016, Erik Wunder, after several years in Brooklyn, moved back to Colorado, recruited Charlie Fell to sing, and decided to compose a new Cobalt album. This one is called Slow Forever and is released on the Profound Lore label.
