Biography

According to legend, La Maison de Mon Rêve was born following an artistic revelation that two sisters, Bianca and Sierra Casady, had in a Parisian hotel in 2004. In reality, the Cocorosie duo, whose surname is made up of the two nicknames of New York's young people, had been looking for itself since the previous year in the intimacy of a family, and of two sister musicians who had always been connected. With a sleek and naive universe, the Casady project has come to notice with its first opus by offering the ears of the world an album of remarkable freshness, between gospel, folk, pop and jazz. The naive aspect of the intertwined songs of the two artists, laid on instrumental parts made of toys, percussions, flutes, pianos and various instruments farfelus or not, creates from the beginning of Cocorosie a strong, unique and candid identity. Thanks to a reputation acquired not unjustly but quickly, the duo is a very interesting address book and can record its second opus in very good conditions from the following year, with remarkable appearances of artists in vogue ( Devandra Banhart , Antony ,...)
