Colour Haze
Biography
Colour Haze comes from Munich, Germany, founded in the mid-1990s. The group has become in addition to a decade one of the standard door of Stoner Teuton, and for some European years. The band born in 1994 from the meeting of Stefan Koglek (Guitare / Chant), Tim Höfer (Batterie) and Christian Wiesner (Basse). The different members have previously played together in different bands Krautwave, Jazzcore (Surface Voltage ) or Goth Rock (Organized Noise ). In 1995 the first album was released on David Records. Chopping Machine shows a group shared between Doom and the experimental Dark current. In 1997, Colour Haze splits half: Tim leaves in Tailgate while Stefan and Christian compose new songs with a singer (Felix Neuenhoff). Shortly afterwards, Christian was replaced by two new members: Manfred Merwald (Batterie) and Philip Rasthofer (Basse). Under this line-up comes Seven, a mix between Stoner Rock psychedelic and Grunge influences. Immediately after her exit Felix leaves the ship. The formation then finds its way and regains its voice with Stefan. The line-up stabilizes and a demo, Periscope, is released in 1999, followed by an album: CO2 . The band then drills a little more and finds its audience by turning in Germany. They sign on Monsterzero which reissues LP and CD versions of CO2 quickly exhausted. The sound clearly becomes Stoner Rock / Fuzz Rock (so dear to Kyuss ) and will continue to evolve in this direction. Very quickly the Germans chain on Ewige Blumenkraf who will continue to build the reputation of the group. At the same time, a remixed version of Periscope is released. In 2003 Colour Haze returned with a double album, Los Sounds De Krauts , which was released on Stefan's label Electrohash Records. With their growing popularity, the band returned just a year later with an eponymous album and several EP splits. In 2006 the group continued its ascent with Tempel . In 2008, the Teutons released All, still on Electrohash, then She Said in 2012.
