Conan
Biography
Liverpool 2006, Richie Grundy (Battery) and Jon Davis (Guitare / Chant) founded Conan , initially a Stoner / Doom / Sludge duo. Joined by John McNulty (Basse / Chant), they recorded an ep Battle In The Swamp in 2007. After the difficulties of line-up, it was not until 2010 that the band stabilized with the arrival of Paul O'Neill to the battery and Conan recorded a demo as well as the ep Horseback Battle Hammer at Aurora Borealis Records and Throne Records. John left the band in 2011, replaced by Dave Perry with whom they only released a split with Slomatics the same year. Phil Coumbe joined the ranks at the end of 2011. In 2012, their first album, Monnos, appeared at Burning World Records and saw references to Sunn O)), Sleep and Yob. The band is present at the Roadburn 2012 which was captured on the festival label in 2013. A split with Bongripper was created the same year. In 2014 Conan released a second effort, Blood Eagle, at Napalm Records and performed a second time at Roadburn. Chris Fielding took up the position of bassist in the band at that time, while the band was played on the stage of Maryland Deathfest and Psycho California. 2016 marks the release of Revengeance , still at Napalm Records, then it is Existential Void Guardian that is born two years later with the arrival of a new drummer, Johnny King (also a member of Malthusian).
