Biography

Mark Nicks : Song/Claviers/Battery Casey McBride : Guitar Joey Holman : Bass
Cool Hand Luke was originally the work of Brandon Morgan and Jason Hammil who formed the band in '98 at Middle State University in Tennessee. Starting with strong punk-rock influences, the arrival of Mark Nicks makes an enormous contribution to the combo's evolution. Four years after the creation of CHL , Floodgate Records ( Bernard , Transition ) signs them and releases their first two albums, Wake Up, O Sleeper in 2003, followed the year after by The Fires Of Life . Followed by tours alongside The Myriad, Norma Jean, Switchfoot or Anathallo.
After a long hiatus during which Mark Nicks will be behind the drums for The Chariot, the trio resumes service under a new face with the departures of Brandon and Jason, and the arrival of Casey and Joey. A compilation first, The Balancing Act, put an end to the contract with Floodgate while 2008 looks like a new start for Cool Hand Luke , signed by Lujo Records ( The Fall Of Troy , The Kidcrash ,...), with the release in October of a brand new effort, The Sleeping House , produced by Matt Goldman ( Copeland , Underoath , Meg&Dia ).
