Florida, USA, 2000. Aaron Marsh and James Likeness, long-time friends, climb Copeland and soon recruit the other half of the quartet. At the end of the year released on the very young label Theory8 Records a split EP with Pacifico , beginning of a prolonged cooperation with Atlanta producer Matt Goldman (A Small Victory , Cartel , Underoath , The Chariot etc). This edition leads to a few short tours of the east coast and to the signature in mid-2002 on The Militia Group, which is still in its early stages. Two months in the studio with Goldman will be the first full length Beneath Medicine Tree. The promotion of this effort will lead them to perform more than 400 concerts in 450 days, including alongside The Juliana Theory, Hopesfall, Mae, The Early November, Switchfoot ... Meanwhile a split 12" with The Pale is born on Sidecho Records. After a short break they returned to the studio in December 2003 to record a cover EP (which will make fans wait until the end of the new tours in anticipation), Know Nothing Stays The Same, reproducing classics by Stevie Wonder, Carly Simon, Phil Collins, Berlin and Billy Joel. The second opus In Motion appeared in March 2005 (always on The Militia Group) and the tour rhythm resumed, with for the first time concerts outside the United States, especially in England. For 2006, the quartet recorded a new album, Eat, Sleep, Repeat , during the summer, and the spell in late autumn. James made the decision to leave the band in 2007 to pursue his career as a graphic designer. Copeland nevertheless recorded a last album, You Are My Sunshine , in 2008 before splicing. Yet in 2014 the project was reactivated and a new album was released: Ixora .
