Country: France
Formed: 2016
Styles: Noise Rock Post-Punk Post-Rock

Biography

Founded in Paris in 2016, Cosse is first a guitar/battery duo made up of Nils Bö and Arthur Vonfelt, offering a kind of Post-Rock animated by the spectra of Thelonious Monk, Don Caballero or Slint. A demo, Made In China, will be released under this configuration before the duo turns into a quartet with the arrival of Tim Garson to the drums and saxophone replacing Arthur and the addition of Lola Frichet (Pogo Car Crash Control) to the bass and second microphone as well as Felipe Sierra in second guitar. A focus on Noise Rock (in the vein of Sonic Youth in particular) and a shovel of dates and recognition that will make the band sign on A Tant Rêver Du Roi and Grabuge Records to distribute the first ep Nothing Belongs To Anything in 2020. Lola announces leaving the band at the end of 2022 and is replaced by Benoît à la basse for the release of It Turns Pale early 2023 via A Tant Rêver Du Roi.
