Cradle Of Filth
Biography
Formed in the early 90's in England Cradle Of Filth is certainly one of the most popular bands of the Black Metal Symphony with Dimmu Borgir, and for this it is also one of the most criticized. Black and glaucous imaging, make-up, loud voices, sometimes guttural, epileptic battery, all the ingredients of the Black Symphony are there, but the commercial success being at the rendezvous, the band is often seen vilipende and called sold. Despite permanent line-up changes, sometimes made departures and returns like guitarist Paul Allender and bassist Robin Eaglstone, the English were particularly active. The proof with this impressive discography made of albums, EPs and live. Cradle Of Filth has also frequently changed labels and is now part of the German Nuclear Blast Records team. Many polemics revolve around the group. The most important is the qualification of their musical style. They are more classified in the genus Horror Metal Symphony and rejected by purists of Black Metal. The commercial success of Cradle of Filth places them entirely apart from this movement "reserved to the initiates" inasmuch as it helped to popularize the image of the Black while at its origins it appeared as a current aiming to stand out from the scene and ideology Death of the time, empty and commercial it was said. As the band's leader and singer, Dani Filth is the only member of the band that has remained since the beginning of the band in 1991. Former members accused him of having appropriated the success of the group and of having considered it a solo project.
