Biography

Cretin was formed in 1992 by two high school buddies fans of extreme music of the time. In search of a drummer, they fall on Col Jones at an Exhumed concert, and are impressed by the drummer who is in their eyes the meeting of Dave Grave (Repulsion), Mick Harris ( Napalm Death) and Ken Owen (Carcass), just that. In 1994, Matt, bassist of Cretin, joined Exhumed and approached Col Jones. Cretin was later put in a stand-by, due to the professional obligations of Matt and Dan (Guitare / Chant). At the end of 2003, the two buddies found each other and reformed their crazy training, still blocked musically in the early 1990s. Col Jones leaves Exhumed to join them (and also to join the Reformation of Repulsion ...) and thus venture seriously into the old-fashioned Grind... The band released its first ep, Cretanic Grind Ambush , and its first album in 2006, Freakery , at Relapse Records. It takes eight years for a follow-up to be given to him named Stranger.
