Cross My Heart is said to have formed in 1999, '97 according to some, in Baltimore (Maryland) and released "rapidly" a first EP emulated on Deep Elm Records ( Latterman, Track A Tiger,...). Caroline's label will release the band's first long-duration effort in 2000, Temporary Contemporary, before Dim Mak (Monochrome, Envy,...) took over the release of a second EP in 2003: The Reason I Failed History. Apart from Dwayne Bruner, the other members will continue their career in Liars Academy in 2000, with Ryan Shelkett making a little breakaway during an album with Dead Red Sea.
