Crusades
Biography
With long CVs like baobabs, Crusade members have been active for many years in the underground scene of the capital Ottawa: Buried Inside, The Creeps, Year Zero, Sedatives, Visitors, Steve Adamyk Band, Pregnancy Scares ... It was in 2009 that they started their resolutely atheist and anti-clerical project, to overcome the scarcity of such vindications in the local pop punk old school scene. In the winter of 2010 they recorded their first K7 eponymous on Scared of Death Records, which quickly released it in version 7". Top 5 Records takes it back for Europe. Time to take care of their other groups/families, etc, and they come back a little later with a first LP titled The Sun Is Down And The Night Is Riding In. This time, it is the It's Alive Records and Razorcake Records labels for the North American continent, as well as Sabotage Records and Hardware Records for Europe that are responsible for pressing 1000 copies. Release parties take place at the end of October 2011, Crusades giving only few concerts (usually one every two months). For 2012, they plan to deal with their private life before releasing a new record at the end of the year, with a European tour at the key.
