Biography

Formed in 1997 these five Marseilles soon dispensed their sound rage with a first demo Time To Go in 1999, but it is mainly with their next effort, released in 2001, that Dagoba will start making noise. The production is honest, the digipak beautifully made but the band is still too close to their overseas influences ( Machine Head, Fear Factory, Slipknot) with this Release The Fury. In 2003 the band returned with an eponymous album, directed Power Metal, and began to find its brands, which they confirmed in 2006 with What Hell Is About , recorded with Tue Madsen ( The Haunted , All Shall Perish ) Dagoba is clearly on the European stage. The reception received by the album will also confirm this status now acquired from tenor of the French scene to international fame. The Marseilles returned two years later with Face The Colossus, which finally came out at the end of September 2008 at Season Of Mist. In March 2010 the band signed with XIII Records which made Poseidon appear at the end of August. In May 2013 Post Mortem Nihil East is released. This album is produced by Logan Mader directly in Los Angeles, in November of the same year Dagoba took off for the United States where they started their first US tour with Dir En Grey. June 2015, released Tales of the Black Dawn, the sixth studio album by the Marseillais. May 2016, an official statement announces the departure of Franky Costanza and Yves Terzibachian for "professional misagreement". Nicolas Bastos (L'Esprit du Clan , Deep In Hate ) on drums and Jean-Laurent Ducroset ( XPlore Yesterday ) on guitar will join the band in June to finish the tour. Dagoba announces in April 2017 the release of a new album for August, Black Nova.
