Damien Rice
Biography
Damien Rice comes straight from the Kildare region of Ireland. He plays with Tom Osander (who formed God Street Wine , Beater and percussionist), Vyvienne Long (violoncellist) and Shane Fitzsimons (bassist). He is also accompanied by singer Lisa Hannigan. His debut in the world of music was marked by the formation of the band Juniper with childhood friends, a band that never released an album (an EP, Manna), but that marked the charts by their hit "Weatherman". Damien left the band (the rest of the band will form Bell X1) and left in 1999 across Europe. He returned a year later to Dublin, the head clearer and full of ideas. He then recorded models, which he presented to producer and director David Arnold (Bjork , James Bond). The latter, having enjoyed the songs, offered him the funds necessary to make his own recording studio. Then start adventure. His first album, O , was released in July 2002 in the UK and in June 2003 in Europe and the USA.
