Dark Castle

Dark Castle is a duet from St. Augustine in Florida composed of Stevie Floyd (Guitare / Chant) and Rob Shaffer (Battery / Chant). Formed in 2005, the band stands out from the Sludge / Doom scene because most vocals are held by a woman, but mostly because the duo does not use bass in a genre where heavyness is one of the main features. Yet Dark Castle has nothing to envy to bands like Tombs, Kongh, Indian or Ramesses. A first ep, Flight Of The Pegasu s, was released in 2007 followed by their first album, Spirited Migration , in 2009 which began to make talk about combo. Concerts follow alongside influential bands from Black Cobra to Baroness via Rwake or Torche. Surrender To All Life Beyond Form was released in 2011, signed by Profound Lore Records.
