David and the Citizens met just four weeks after he left Stockholm for Malmö. A first eponymous EP will be born in April 2001, also called The Beppe EP due to the presence of David's cat on the artwork. A boubou finally became the mascot of the group. A lot of productions throughout their career (EPs, singles etc.), including the release of a first full-length, For All Happy Endings in 2002, followed in 2003 by their second effort: Until the Sadness is Gone. Album again produced by Jens LindgÄrd ( Franz Ferdinand , St. Etienne, etc.)
These Adrian Recordings releases (Emil Jensen , Sharif ,...) will allow the Swedes to sign with Bad Taste Records ( Logh , Satanic Surfers ,...), who will take over the release of a new EP in June 2006, Are You in My Blood? , anticipating that of a third long-term opus for the month of September, Stop the Tape! Stop the Tape! , promoted in France as usual by Innovative Promotion .
