Biography

Dayal Patterson is an English journalist, known for his writings on metal magazines such as Terrorizer or Metal Hammer. Eclectic, he may be interested in drones as well as post-punks, having worked with Killing Joke to write liner notes on their albums. But Dayal is first and foremost a black metal enthusiast, which prompted him to write several impressive books about the genre. Through his independent structure Cult Never Dies, he publishes his books, but also makes official merchandising of black metal underground groups. To date, he has published three books, which are intended as successive additions to a more global study on black metal: - Black Metal: Evolution of The Cult (2013) - Black Metal: The Cult Never Dies Vol.1 (2015) - Black Metal: Into The Abyss (2016) He has since expanded the scope of his editions, writing both on extreme metal in general and on artists related to the world of metal: - Cult Never Dies : The Megazine (2016) - Owls, Trolls,&Dead Kings' Skulls : The Art of David Thiérrée (2017) - Ultra Damaged: Damage Inc. Zine 1985/2017 Anthology (2017)
