Biography

Dead Congregation is formed in Athens, Greece in 2004 on the ashes of Nuclear Winter by Vagelis Voyiantzis (Battery) and Anastasis Valtsanis (Guitare / Chant), also boss of the label Nuclear Winter Records. They surround themselves with T.K. (Guitare) and A.A. (Basse) for the release of a first ep, Purifying Consecrated Ground, in 2005. Their death metal cavernous and blasphemous which can recall the productions of Incantation or Immolation develops on their first album, Graves Of The Archangels which appears at Nuclear War Now! Productions and make them known internationally. A split with Hatespawn also comes out the same year. The band made some dates in Europe with Slugathor, Grave Miasma or Cruciamentum and performed at festivals such as the Nuclear War Now! Fest, Kill-Town Death Fest or Maryland Deathfest. In 2012, A.A. was replaced by G.S. and then they toured with Infinitum Obscure in Europe, making some dates in the United States as well as the usual summer festivals including a presence at Hellfest 2013. Promulgation Of The Fall , their second opus, was released in 2014 and several dates abroad in 2014 and 2015. An ep containing demos from 2005, Rehearsal June 2005 , comes out in a self-produced way in 2015 while the Sombre Doom ep arrives in 2016.
