Dead To A Dying World

Dead To A Dying World is only the solo project of guitarist Sean Mehl when he was born in 2009. Little by little, this one surrounds what was originally to be only studio musicians. In sandstone years and despite the many changes in staff, Dead To A Dying World gradually became a real group. In 2011 released a first eponymous album produced by Philipp Cope, Kylesa guitarist, followed four years later by Litany, behind which we find producer Billy Anderson (Amen ra , Eyehategod , High On Fire , Neurosis , Sick Of It All ...). Like his music, the line-up of the band is rich since no fewer than seven members are currently part of the band: Mike Yeager and Heidi Moore (chant), Eva Vonne (violin), Sean Mehl and Gregg Prickett (guitar), James Magruder (bass, guitar, piano), Cyrus Meyers (battery, bass). Combining Crust, Black, Doom or Post-Rock, Dead To A Dying World's sound is characterized above all by the melancholy it releases thanks to the use of many string instruments.
