Debauchery
Biography
The German band Death Metal / Death'n'Roll Debauchery, founded in 2000, is in reality the project of the only Thomas Gurrath, both singer, guitarist and bassist, accompanied in studio and live by session musicians. Kill Maim Burn , first album, released in 2003. Others followed quickly, including Back In Blood (2007) known for its cover (by Genesis, Rammstein, etc.), Rockers&War (2009), half of the usual Death Metal, and the other half of Hard Rock. In 2010, a spotlight was given on Debauchery, but not for musical reasons: at the time, Gurrath was indeed a professor of philosophy, and when her extra-professional activity was discovered, she was considered incompatible with her status as a teacher. Having a choice to make, he chooses his group. With Germany's Next Death Metal in 2011, Debauchery became a pure Death'n'Roll project, while in 2012 the Blood God side-project was launched, focusing on Hard Rock/Heavy Metal (which each release contains a second Death release). Kings Of Carnage appeared in 2013 (followed by a second opus for Blood God in 2014), then Fuck Humanity (2015) opened the cycle "Trinity Of Blood Gods" whose Thunderbeast (2016) and In Der Hölle Spricht Man Deutsch (2018) followed respectively as Debauchery Vs. Blood God and Balgeroth , third project similar to Debauchery but fully in German (note that here too a "Debauchery" version (in this case an English version) is included with the album).
