Den Saakaldte

Den Saakaldte is a Norwegian black metal supergroup, set up in 2006 by Sykelig (Guitare) in Oslo. The name that means The So-Cold is inspired by a piece of Ved Buens Ende. The musician then surrounded Hellhammer (Battery - Arcturus , Mayhem , Emperor , Immortal , Shining ), replaced in 2007 by S Winter, then Seidemann (Basse - 1349 , Pantheon I , Koldbrann ), Honey Lucius (Claviers - Dodheimsgard , Alsvartr ) and Niklas Kvarforth (Chant - Shining Sue , Ondskapt ). They released their first album, Øl, Mørke Og Depresjon via Eerie Art Records in 2008 and a split with Shining. Like the Swedish, Den Saakaldte reveals dark and depressive atmospheres. Uruz (Ergehal , Shining ) replaces S Winter for the release of All Hail Pessimism at Avantgarde Music the following year. For four years, the group successively underwent several line-up changes. Niklas left the training in 2011, replaced by Oyvind Haegeland and Eldur in 2013. It is also the waltz of the drummers who remain only one year in the band. Kobor ( Carpathian Forest , In The Woods... , Blood Red Throne , Green Carnation ) succeeds Uruz in 2009, himself replaced by Folkedal ( Koldbrann ) in 2011 and Tybalt ( Pantheon I ) in 2012. Tjalve ( Pantheon I , 1349 ) was recruited as second guitarist in the same year. This is how Norwegians return in 2014 with their third opus Kapittel II: Fane I Helvete via Agonia Records as well as two splits alongside Varathron and Horna .
