Denison Witmer
Biography
Denison Witmer grew up in Lancaster (Philadelphie); he started guitar at 16 years old, in parallel to writing, since he kept a diary, all under the influence of Graham Nash and Jackson Browne. He quickly drew the attention of the person who would become his mentor, his producer, Don Peris (The Innocence Mission), and who would help him to publish his first EP, River Bends precisely, and then his first opus: Safe Away (2000).
After sharing the scene with Damien Jurado, Cat Power, My Morning Jacket, or Sixteen Horsepower, and two albums later ( Of Joy and Sorrow, Philadelphia Songs) In 2003, Witmer released a cover album entitled "Recovered".
But before reaching 2005, where the latter will publish a fourth effort, Are You A Dreamer? , via The Militia Group ( Anadivine , Cartel ,...), and Bad Taste Records ( Satanic Surfers , Logh ,...) in 2006, the songwriter released in 2004 a first opus with his friend Steven Yutzi-Burkey participating with members of his band, One Star Hotel , as well as producer Scott French. And Flows Into The Sea will be distributed initially in 2004 by Tooth&Nail Records ( Far-Less, Mae, ...) and then by the Swedes of BTR in 2005.
