Desaparecidos
Biography
"Desaparecidos", which means the Disappeared, refers to the dissidents, of certain South American governments (Pinochet in mind), who were kidnapped in the 1970s and simply thrown into the ocean by plane. Desaparecidos formed around Conor Oberst ( Bright Eyes) in 2001. After 2 EPs and a first album Read Music / Speak Spanish in an Indie / Emo vein, the combo splits and each member turns to other musical projects: Bright Eyes, The '89 Cubs, the Coffin Killers, Little Brazil, Intramural, ... The combo reformed for a single concert in July 2010, before returning to the shadows for 2 years. We must wait until 2012 for Desaparecidos to announce a new tour and focus on the composition of songs, "MarieKKKopa" and "Backsell" in 2012. The following year, the band gradually unveiled new titles without announcing a new album. It should be noted that Denver Dalley, the thinking head of Statistics, is also part of Desaparecidos. Politically committed group and well "raw", Desaparecidos has reformed to declare a law, and a zero immigration policy, in the state of Arizona and the city of Fremont. They are therefore part of a not-for-profit Sound Srike organization that simply aims to boycott concerts in this state, with a view to abolishing this law.
