Biography

From various formations of Punk Rock of the Netherlands, the five members of Destine formed around the project, first solo, of Robin Van Loenen (he composes all the musical parts of each song) oriented Emo / Rock / Power Pop in Tilburg in 2006. From then on, assembled in formation consisting of Hubrecht Eversdijk (Guitare / Chant), Laurens Troost (Claviers / Chant), Tom Vorstius Kruijff (Basse / Chant) and Robin Faas (Battery / Chant) able to perform real rock compositions, Destine sets up the writing of a first ep in 2006, A Dozen Dreams, again with the versatile Van Loenen with handlettes. Desiring to share rather than sell at any price, the group makes the decision to put this ep for free download on their site. From now on, the quintet is about to explore theatres throughout Europe. Destiny is on course with 70 dates between the Netherlands, England, Wales, Germany, France and Belgium with New Found Glory and Fall Out Boy. In 2008, they signed with Sony Music and recorded songs with producer James Paul Wisner (Dashboard Confessional , Underoath , New Found Glory , 36 Crazyfist ) for the release of the ep In Your Arms in 2009 and their very first album, Lightspeed , released in 2010 at Sony Music and Rude Records. Jordy Datema replaces Robin behind the drums in 2011 for the release of a second album, Illuminate , in 2012, via Rude Records, then from Forevermore in 2015.
