Die Selektion

The Die Selektion Group was born in late 2010 from an experimental post-punk project called LUC . Following a change in the composition of the band, the musical leadership changed so much that it was decided to establish a new band. Along with Gillian, the band consisted of trumpeter Hannes Rief and Max Rieger. By combining EBM and synthpop of the 80s, DS is moving towards a dancing and melancholic style. After some inconclusive tests in Italian, the group opted for German. In 2011, DS released the EP Kühle Lippe n , followed in April 2011 by the mini-album Noire on the Berlin label aufnahme + wiedergabe . In September of the same year, the album Die Selektion was released on the label Fabrika Records. Gillian and Rief are still in high school, so the band starts to tour during the school holidays in Italy, Germany and other countries. In 2012, Max Rieger left Die Selektion to focus on his other group Die Nerven . He also started production and began a solo career under the name All diese Gewalt . In 2013, Samuel Savenberg replaced him. The second album Deine Stimme ist der Ursprung jeglicher Gewalt is recorded in a week at Club Komma in Esslingen am Neckar, where Gillian regularly organizes events. He was released in 2017 at aufnahme + wiedergabe . In 2022, DS made its first leading tour in Mexico.
