Biography

Tomas Lindberg - singing Björn Peterson - guitar Henke Frykman - bass Marcus Andersson - drums Uffe Cederlund - guitar Formed in 1989 in the suburbs of Stockholm by Björn Peterson (guitar), Henke Frykman (bass), Jallo Lehto (battery) and Jeppe Lerjerud (sing), under the surname of Anti-Bofors. In October 1992, Disfear released a first eponymous produced by Tomas Skogsberg (Entombed). Motivated by the good results, the band returned to Sunlight Studios to record Brutal Sight of War, which received a superb reception from the specialized press, even being nominated to the Rock Hard Tops. A tour of Germany with Uncurbed followed. The second album, Soul Scars, was released only four years later with a new drummer, Robin Wiberg, Lehto having joined Totalitar. The Swedish raced with GBH and DRI, as well as Doom. A deal went on after the tour with the French of Osmose Productions on which comes Everyday Slaughter . Then radio silence. The project was reactivated in 2003 when it was signed by Relapse Records. While the backbone of Peterson and Frykman remains operational, other figures are emerging, including Tomas Lindberg, singer of At The Gates, who will also be present at Skitsystem. A new drummer, Marcus Andersson, is also recruited for a trip to Europe and the recording of Misanthropic Generation, produced by the late Mieszko Talarzyk (Nasum). The following period saw things speed up for Disfear. After the addition of an additional guitarist, neither more nor less than Uffe Cederlund (Entombed ), the Swedish made the cover of Close Up, shared the poster with Discharge , embarked on a European tour leading the poster to finish in apotheosis at the Pointless Fest in Philadelphia with Tragedy , Kylesa and Municipal Waste among others. In the spring of 2005, Disfear toured Finland and Sweden with Rotten Sound before heading to the States for his first tour of the New Continent with Tragedy, Cursed and Phobia. On the way back, the band started to floor on Live the Storm, which was born in 2008.
