Disillusion
Biography
For the time being, disillusionment has only released two albums, but the German band has existed since 1994. Created by singer-songwriter Andy "Vurtox" Schmidt, Disillusion did not take off until 2001 when the current trio Schmidt / Barthel / Maluschka was able to record EP Three Neuron Kings and then The Porter the following year. Their signature at Metal Blade Records is a great result, resulting in the release of their first album Back To Times Of Splendor in 2004. Combining various elements, both Black, Death, Thrash and Prog, this album is acclaimed by critics and audiences and allows them to shoot in Europe in an extensive way. Two years later, it is a completely different face that the band presents with its second opus, Gloria , an album by Metal transgenderes of great stylistic freedom that shows an amazing work on sound textures, at the risk of disappointing the fanatics of their fantastic first album. Nevertheless, at the present time few groups are as rich and adventurous as Disillusion. The Germans took ten years to talk about them again, by releasing the single (yes, "just" a single, but 10 minutes) Alea in 2016. This title will announce a sequel: The Liberation , a third album, is released at the end of 2019.
